Job summary

Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient pharmacy operations under supervision of the Pharmacist, Pharmacy Manager and Director of Pharmacy.

The role includes preparation, dispensing and delivery of medications, Pyxis responsibilities and IV room duties, with on-site parking and a commitment to quality patient care.

Qualifications

• 1-2 Years of Pharmacy experience preferred.
• PTCB certification within 1 year of hire date or currently enrolled in Pharmacy School Program.
• Need to be registered as technician or technician trainee with Commonwealth of PA prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in inpatient hospital pharmacy, including preparation, dispensing and delivery of medications.
• Maintain workflow by charging medications, filling Pyxis MedStations, crediting and redistributing returns, and assisting with inventory.
• Assist in preparation, dispensing and delivery of parental solutions for inpatients and outpatients.
• Maintain IV room workflow, including delivering IVs, recycling IV products, processing IV returns, and batching IVs and syringes.
