Job summary

The candidate will manage Pyxis systems, ensure accurate labeling and patient data, and support prescription processing, transfers, and stock control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPhT certification required or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Current New Jersey Board of Pharmacy registration required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Knowledge of pharmacy information systems and basic math calculations.
• Ability to follow procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work in a hospital pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare IV admixtures according to established policies and procedures.
• Perform sterile compounding per USP <797> requirements.
• Operate and maintain automated dispensing systems (Pyxis 3000, PARx).
• Label compounded IV products with concentrations, beyond-use dates, and patient info.
