PharmD on Demand seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, GA on a PRN basis. The candidate should be team oriented, detail focused, and comfortable supporting both hospital and retail pharmacy activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current pharmacy technician licensure in the applicable state(s).
• Prefer both hospital and retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in providing medication, drug information, and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel.
• Receives and stores incoming deliveries of medication and supplies.
• Performs dosage calculations for prescriptions across age groups.
• Maintains inventory of supplies in pharmacy and reorders as needed.
• Answers the phone and communicates effectively with hospital staff.
• Performs sterile compounding and compounding chemotherapy tasks, including room readiness and cleaning.
• Prepares and delivers medications to designated locations.
• Maintains stock in the automated dispensing cabinet.
