Job summary

Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at PAM Specialty Hospital of Sarasota and we are currently recruiting for a PRN Pharmacy Technician to work on an as needed basis during facility hours. The Technician II helps the Pharmacist with daily operations, including filling prescriptions, inventory, and processing returns.

This role requires Florida licensure, eligibility for IV compounding, and customer-focused communication.

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent preferred.
Florida State Pharmacy Technician license.
National certification (PTCB or NHA) preferred.
IV compounding experience preferred.
In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assists the Pharmacist as needed, permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out-of-date items from the inventory.
Communicates with all customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
