Qualifications

• Knowledge of medication preparation, dispensing, and compounding under supervision.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards (HIPAA, OSHA, and state/federal laws).
• Proficiency in inventory management to maintain stock levels and timely ordering.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot pharmacy equipment effectively.
• Strong communication to provide customer service and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
• Detail-oriented and organized to ensure accuracy in labeling and records.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain inventory by monitoring stock, ordering supplies, and conducting regular audits.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions from patients and staff about medications and services.
• Maintain accurate records of medication orders, dispensing activities, and inventory transactions.
• Participate in quality assurance activities to promote safe medication practices.
• Ensure pharmacy equipment is functioning properly and help troubleshoot issues.
• Work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Stay current with pharmacy practices and participate in ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
