Job summary

Nantucket Cottage Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support medication procurement, preparation, and dispensing under supervision of a Pharmacist. Onsite at 57 Prospect Street, 40 hours weekly.

Responsibilities include rotating through pharmacy areas, preparing IVs, stocking, data entry, vaccine records, and assistance with billing. Requires High School diploma and PTCB certification; one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; experience in lieu of degree not accepted.
• PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• One year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through all pharmacy areas.
• Transport medications and equipment to nursing units and other departments.
• Restock automated dispensing machines (ADMs).
• Prepare medications and supplies for dispensing, including bulk meds and IVs.
• Enter medication orders into the computer system and assist pharmacists with documentation.
• Assist with vaccine recordkeeping and billing for meds, including IVs.
• Monitor refrigerator/freezer temperatures and stock shelves.
• Ensure compliance with USP <797> and DPH regulations.
