Job summary

The technician will retrieve, package, and label medications across multiple dosage forms and will handle bar code technology during stocking and dispensing workflows. The role requires a state license in good standing and may involve sterile/ hazardous compounding under pharmacist supervision per department policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–6 months hospital or retail pharmacy experience or completion of Pharmacy Technician program.
• State of Oklahoma Pharmacy Board Technician License in good standing required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers medication ensuring it is secured until delivered to the requesting caregiver or loaded into the ADC.
• Ensures that all medication is verified by a pharmacist prior to its delivery.
• Returns medication to the pharmacy as needed ensuring it is secure until returned to stock or placed in the appropriate waste stream container.
• Stocks ADC with standard and patient-specific medications using barcode technology when applicable.
