Job summary

ST. CHARLES HEALTH SYSTEM in Oregon seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in preparing, storing, labeling, and distributing IV and other medications, ensuring safety and accuracy in accordance with policy and law.

You will package medications, prepare chemotherapy, manage inventory, bill and credit charges, and support the pharmacy across multiple sites as needed. Requires High School diploma or GED and Oregon Pharmacy Technician license; prior hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Pharmacy Technician license through the Oregon Board of Pharmacy is required; national certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintains stock supplies in the pharmacy and packages medications as necessary under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Prepares IV or other medications using aseptic technique for nursing staff, with accurate billing and labeling.
• Prepares chemotherapy and handles blood products safely with appropriate safety equipment.
• Verifies inventory and delivers medications to nursing units, ensuring timely distribution.
