Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to assist in maintaining the hospital's unit dose drug distribution and intravenous admixture program. Responsibilities include filling and delivering medications, verifying automated dispensing systems, and maintaining pharmacy inventory. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, hold a valid state pharmacy technician registration, and preferably possess national certification. This role requires physical strength for lifting and a tidy workspace.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and carry over 20 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand and/or walk at least five hours per day.
• Frequent sitting, conversing, and listening required.

Responsibilities

• Fill automated medication dispensing system.
• Verify contents of automated dispensing system stock.
• Fill patient medication envelopes from computer labels.
• Deliver checked medications to nursing units.

Education

High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree

Valid state pharmacy technician registration

National certification preferred
