Job summary

Orlando Health, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support medication preparation, distribution, and inventory in a hospital setting. The role 32 hours per week, Monday–Friday, day shift, in a retail hospital pharmacy environment.

You will collaborate with pharmacists, operate automated dispensing systems, maintain USP 797 standards, and mentor new staff while delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Greater than one year and up to four years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Active Pharmacy Technician Registration required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution.
• Maintain medication inventory and support procurement processes.
• Perform pharmacy technician duties in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Support sterile compounding and aseptic techniques, including specialty medications.
• Operate pharmacy technology and automated dispensing systems.
• Maintain USP 797 standards and required regulatory documentation.
• Ensure safe handling and disposal of medications.
• Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives.
• Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians as needed.
• Maintain advanced expertise in specialized pharmacy practice areas.
• Support customer service and patient care through collaboration with healthcare teams.
