Job summary

Onsite work with a strong focus on patient safety and department performance. The candidate should have a PharmD or pharmacy degree, a state pharmacist license, and 2-3 years of management experience in a hospital pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license and state registration required.
• 2-3 years of related pharmacy management experience required; 3-5 years preferred.
• Pharmacy leadership experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, and quantitative skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, guidance and serves as a role model to those professionals under supervision.
• Supervises and directs the daily operations of pharmacy services. Schedule and assign staff.
• Serves as a resource person regarding pharmacy policies to pharmacists, physicians, nurses and other hospital staff.
• Participates in on-call responsibility as assigned.
• Responsible for staff development and performance evaluation.
• Assists in the recruitment, interviews, and training of new staff.
• Participates in the development of policy and procedures.
• Conducts educational programs, in-services, and staff meetings.
