Job summary

Saint Vincent Hospital in Massachusetts is seeking a Manager, Pharmacy Operations to support the Director of Pharmacy in directing the Pharmacy Department's operations.

The role includes supervising compounding, dispensing, ordering, storage of all pharmaceuticals, and developing policies to ensure efficient and compliant department performance. Occasional staff pharmacist duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Pharm. D. or BS in Pharmacy required.
• 5 years of experience or residency training required; 2 years in hospital Pharmacy management.
• Pharmacy license required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Pharmacy residency or fellowship training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes duties of Director of Pharmacy in his/her absence.
• Supervises compounding, dispensing, ordering, and proper storage of all pharmaceuticals.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure proper department operations.
• Directs the work of pharmacy staff; assists in ensuring JCAHO requirements and Medicare conditions of participation.
• Maintains a system of record keeping and documentation per applicable laws and regulations.
• Performs duties of a staff pharmacist as needed.

Education

Pharm. D. or BS in Pharmacy

5 years of experience or residency training

2 years hospital Pharmacy management

Pharmacy license

Master's degree (preferred)

Pharmacy residency or fellowship training (preferred)
