Job summary

Lakewood Health System is seeking a Hospital Pharmacy Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across hospital, oncology, and infusion services. This position oversees medication procurement, preparation, dispensing, distribution, inventory management, medication safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and pharmacy information systems while supporting the continued advancement of clinical pharmacy services. The Hospital Pharmacy Manager leads and develops pharmacy personnel, promotes a collaborative and accountable team culture, supports departmental budgeting and financial performance, and partners with providers, nursing leadership, administration, and other departments to advance safe and effective medication management throughout Lakewood Health System. The manager also maintains the ability to perform clinical pharmacist duties as needed.Position TypeFull-time | Main CampusGraduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.Current pharmacist licensure in the State of Minnesota.Ability to maintain current pharmacist licensure and required continuing education.Experience in hospital pharmacy practice.Previous pharmacy management, supervisory, or leadership experience preferred.Strong knowledge of medication safety, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy information systems.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and organizational leaders.Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, mentor, and develop pharmacy personnel.Knowledge of applicable pharmacy regulations and standards, including USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, Board of Pharmacy, and other federal, state, and local requirements.Ideal CandidateDemonstrates strong leadership and provides clear direction while empowering team members to succeed.Builds collaborative relationships with providers, nursing, administration, and other operational partners.Promotes a culture of accountability, professionalism, ownership, and service excellence.Demonstrates a strong commitment to medication safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based pharmacy practice.Identifies opportunities to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and pharmacy services.Effectively balances strategic leadership with the day-to-day operational needs of a busy hospital pharmacy.Supports professional development, continuing education, certification attainment, and leadership growth among pharmacy team members.Demonstrates sound judgment, adaptability, and attention to detail in a highly regulated healthcare environment.BenefitsLakewood Health System is growing and looking for great people to join our mission of providing personalized, quality healthcare for a lifetime.
