Job summary

A leading health system in Connecticut is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to provide operational support within pharmacy services. This role includes drug distribution, participation in clinical functions, and assisting under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Candidates should be enrolled in a College of Pharmacy program and possess strong mathematical and communication skills. Shift work including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy program.
• Registration or eligibility as a Pharmacy Intern in Connecticut is required.
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform drug distribution activities accurately and timely.
• Respond to requests from nursing, physicians, and others.
• Participate in educational activities within the Pharmacy Department.
• Rotate through clinical areas shadowing a clinical specialist.
