Job summary

Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL, is seeking a licensed pharmacist to dispense medications, provide drug information, and oversee pharmacy technicians. The role requires a pharmacy degree and active state licenses (WI/IL), with a focus on safety, accuracy, and cost-effective therapies.

You will participate in quality improvement, maintain necessary documentation, and stay current with clinical literature and processes across our health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy program.
• Wisconsin and/or Illinois license required.
• Strong accuracy and pharmaceutical calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, dispenses medication orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, & protocols.
• Provides accurate, adequate, and timely drug information to professional staff, patients and patient families.
• Ensures safe, appropriate, cost effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Participates in quality improvement and medication use review activities; collects data and maintains records.
• Supervises daily activities of pharmacy technicians and support personnel.
• Reviews literature and complete competence/skills assessments to maintain licensure.
