Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
  • Texas pharmacist license or registration within 90 days of employment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and support the culture and values of UMC.
  • Ensure medication orders are processed in a timely manner.
  • Review orders and patient profiles for standard therapy, including allergies, interactions, and dosing.
  • Report medication errors and participate in safety systems.
  • Inspect medications for accuracy and ensure correct patient, dose, frequency, and delivery mode.
  • Follow aseptic guidelines and assist in training technicians.
  • Maintain proper labeling and log entries for all medications.
  • Provide medication information to health care professionals.
  • Supervise daily workflow of pharmacy technicians.
