Job summary

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS is seeking a Pharmacist Intern PRN to join our team. The role focuses on pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and patient care within inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualified candidates are licensed interns with the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy or current enrollment/recent graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy; hospital pharmacy experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed intern with the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Currently enrolled in, or recent graduate from, an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Previous experience in hospital pharmacy desired.

Responsibilities

• You will perform technical functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution.
• You will provide inpatient and outpatient pharmaceutical services including compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical supplies, intravenous admixtures and narcotics.
• You will audit supplies on nursing units.
• You will handle charge reconciliation of patient billing documents.
• You may assist in the provision of drug consultation to patients, physicians, nurses and hospital personnel.
