Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist to support the Director of Pharmacy by managing parenteral and enteral orders, monitoring therapies, and supervising support staff. You will ensure accurate dispensing and maintain complete drug transaction records.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe, cost-effective therapies, reviewing interactions, providing drug information to patients and staff, and participating in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy Degree
• 1 year of experience as Pharmacist in a hospital setting required
• Current NC state license as a Registered Pharmacist
• Current and active BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures and protocols
• Monitors and ensures safe, cost-effective therapies and provides drug information to patients and families
• Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel; maintains records and ensures timely services
• Maintains licensure and participates in continuing education; adheres to hospital policies and confidentiality
