Job summary

MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital in Washington is seeking a Pharmacist to ensure prompt and accurate pharmaceutical care for patients, nurses and physicians. The role focuses on dispensing, IV admixtures, and quality control within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• WA pharmacist license required or eligible for licensure in WA.
• ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred.
• Minimum one year of pharmacy experience preferred in hospital, retail, clinic or similar setting.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders; prepare primary IV/solutions.
• Manufacture nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations when required and maintain appropriate records.
• Supervise support personnel and finalize checks of all completed work.
• Assist in inspection of all pharmaceutical supplies across services and ensure safe provision of pharmaceutical care.
