Job summary

Cardinal Health operates a hospital-system pharmacy at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Humble. A PRN Pharmacist is sought for weekdays 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with on-call coverage after hours, weekends, and holidays.

The Pharmacist will verify orders, supervise technicians, adjust dosages per protocol, educate patients, and support accreditation and compliance tasks within a hospital pharmacy setting in Humble, Texas.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD; TX license in good standing.
IV certification or ability to obtain.
Inpatient/hospital experience preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for entire shift.
May require vendor credentialing.

Responsibilities

Verify physician orders and adjust dosages using the pharmacy information system.
Supervise Pharmacy Technicians to ensure compliant operations.
Adjust dosages based on protocols and antimicrobial stewardship.
Educate patients on medications, especially at discharge.
Manage narcotics, inventory control and compliance.
Contact nurses and physicians to verify orders.
Assist Pharmacy Director with accreditation and system changes.
Other duties as assigned.
