Job summary

Vitruvian Health, serving the northwest Georgia and southeast Tennessee region, seeks a Pharmacist to interpret, prepare, and dispense prescriptions with accuracy, ensuring correct drug, dosage, and therapy. You will disseminate drug information to patients and healthcare staff.

The role requires a Pharm.D. and Tennessee license; hospital experience is preferred. You will collaborate with the Medical Staff and Pharmacy operations to ensure safe and effective medication delivery.

Qualifications

  • Pharmacist must hold an ACPE-accredited Pharm.D. degree.
  • Current license to practice Pharmacy in Tennessee.
  • Hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the efficient and productive operation of the department.
  • Receives, interprets, processes, and dispenses all physicians' orders for medications and IV solutions.
  • Fills and dispenses outpatient prescriptions; ensures accuracy and proper handling.
  • Maintains knowledge to provide patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • Participates in pharmacokinetic dosing for aminoglycoside, vancomycin, and aminophylline consults.
  • Participates in renal dosing services.
  • Reports to work as scheduled.
