Job summary

Woodlawn Health in Indiana seeks a full-time Pharmacist to join our team. You will interpret drug orders, ensure patient safety, and provide guidance to medical staff while processing outpatient prescriptions.

The role involves IVs/chemotherapy preparation, sterile technique, pharmacokinetic dosing and collaboration with nursing and physicians. Indiana licensure is required, with a day shift and rotating weekends; competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS degree.
• Indiana Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist license current.
• BLS certification or obtain prior to direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Interpret practitioner drug orders and verify accuracy.
• Evaluate orders for safety and appropriateness for patient care.
• Counsel Medical, Nursing and Health Care staff on drug use.
• Follow state and federal pharmacy laws and hospital policies.
• Dispense and bill outpatient prescriptions for employees.
• Prepare oral and topical compounds as needed.
• Prepare IVs and chemotherapy IVs with aseptic technique.
• Enter drug orders and verify technician/nurse order entries.
• Provide pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing for patients.
• Package and supervise unit-dose medication for inpatient/outpatient use.
