Job summary

JobRx, Inc. seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide consultative services to medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff.

This role involves clinical and professional pharmaceutical work in the compounding and dispensing of medications under the direction of the Pharmacy Director. You will supervise pharmacy technicians, ensure safe and effective medication use, stay current with new medications, and participate in quality improvement initiatives, all while maintaining compliance with federal and state

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Two years previous experience as a hospital pharmacist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts drug utilization reviews (DURs) and prepares drug review criteria for review by committees as required.
• Consult with and advise medical staff personnel regarding utilization of medications as they relate to patient care.
• Keeps abreast of the latest developments concerning new medications or usage.
• Advises staff on correct use of medications including dosages, side effects, and interactions.
• Assists with department QI program including data collection, analysis and reporting.

Education

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy
