Job summary

Bayhealth Medical Center is seeking a Hospital Pharmacist for the Kent Campus. You will review orders for safety and accuracy, provide drug information to staff, participate in multidisciplinary rounds, supervise technicians, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Required: Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy, licensed pharmacist and BLS. Preferred: Doctorate in Pharmacy and 1 year of hospital experience. Day/Evening shifts with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor Degree Pharmacy (required).
Credential(s): Licensed Pharmacist & Basic Life Support (required).
Experience: None Required (entry level).
Preferred: Doctorate Degree Pharmacy (preferred).
Experience: 1 year Hospital Experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

Medication/Solution Order Review and Processing per prescriber orders and safety checks.
Drug Information Resource—provide drug data to staff and respond timely.
Departmental Clinical Program Participation—pharmacy consults and rounds.
Technician Supervision—review dispensed medications and verify accuracy.
Quality Improvement Participation—support safety and narcotics audits and reports.
Controlled Substance Accountability—manage custody, storage and handoffs.
Adverse Drug Reporting—identify and document potential ADRs.
All other duties within pharmacy scope as assigned.
