Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Pharmacist for the Central Pharmacy at High Point Medical Center to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care and review medication orders in support of positive patient outcomes.

The role requires a Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy with an active NC license; hospital pharmacy experience is preferred. 1st shift, M-F with weekend and holiday rotations at the High Point Campus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) is required.
• Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses.
• Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, optimizing staff utilization.
• Deliver pharmaceutical care for optimal patient outcomes.
• Contribute to quality improvement efforts through teamwork.
• Continuously update and document skills and knowledge.
• Maintain documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
• Set personal goals to support departmental objectives.
• Provide age-appropriate care following guidelines.
• Foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
