Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Transportation Aide to move patients, equipment, and supplies across the hospital. You will assist nurses and support teams, ensuring safe transport and proper documentation of each move in the Tele tracking system.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification within 90 days. Wage starts at the posted minimum and may include shift differentials and incentives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (preferred).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher to various areas of the hospital.
• Records each transport with time left unit, destination and return to unit using Tele tracking system.
• Responds to call lights and communicates needs to appropriate personnel.
• Assists patients out of bed and uses lifting devices as needed.
• Performs other duties as requested by the supervisor.
• Maintains vehicles: cleanliness and good repair; inspects equipment as directed.
