Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Patient Dining Associate for the Food Service Department. The role is full-time on rotating 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including every other weekend.

Up to a $1,500 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. You will be responsible for patient meal service on assigned units, communicating patient nutrition needs to Food & Nutrition Services, and assisting the dietitian with monitoring diets and documenting intake.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in food service welcome.
• In lieu of degree accepted.

Responsibilities

• Serve patient meals on assigned units.
• Communicate patient food issues/needs to Food & Nutrition Services.
• Assist dietitian with monitoring patients on special diets and record intake.
• Respond promptly to changes to ensure timely service and accuracy of modified diets.
• Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions for optimal patient care.
