Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is hiring a paramedic to provide advanced medical care in emergency situations, assess patients, administer interventions and stabilize patients before or during transfer. You will work with physicians, nurses and other professionals to implement treatment plans.

Education: Technical Program - Paramedic; License: Paramedic licence issued by Florida or Compact State; Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical experience.
• Must attend EKG recognition within 30 days of hire.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care tasks safely and in line with policy.
• Coordinates care with the Clinical Nurse to optimize outcomes.
• Recognizes status changes and reports to the Clinical Nurse promptly.
• Maintains complete, timely documentation of care.
• Communicates with multidisciplinary team, patients and families.
• Maintains shift-long communication with the Clinical Nurse.
• Responds promptly to patient requests for assistance.
• Performs other duties such as housekeeping and restocking as needed.
