Job summary

Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is seeking a Painter to apply paints, undercoats, sealers, and finishes to walls, ceilings and furniture, following blueprints and specifications. Prepare surfaces, fill cracks, and perform taping on sheetrock, using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.

High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of progressively responsible painting experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of painting techniques and finishes.
Ability to adhere to health and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

Applies paints, undercoats, and sealers to walls and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
Cleans brushes, rollers, and equipment and leaves work area safe.
Prepares surfaces, fills cracks and holes, and performs caulking/taping on sheet rock surfaces.
Climbs ladders and scaffolding as necessary; refinishes furniture and matches color of putty to surfaces.
Sprays ceilings with an airless spray gun and maintains spray equipment.
