Your best is waiting to be discovered.Rotating - 08 Hour (United States of America)This is a Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley job.A Brief OverviewThe Painter applies paints, undercoats, lacquers, finishes, etc., to walls, ceilings, furniture, and other surfaces as assigned.LocationsStanford Health Care Tri-ValleyWhat you will doApplies paints, undercoats, and sealers to walls and other surfaces, for purposes of decoration and preservation, by using brushes, rollers, and spray guns. Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.Cleans all brushes, rollers, and other tools used at completion of day's work, cleans work area, and leaves it in a safe condition. Cleans and prepares surfaces that are to be painted. Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster).Performs taping jobs and repairs on sheet rock surfaces.Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding as necessary.Refinishes desks, chairs, and other wood surfaces with lacquers and other finishes; matches the color of putty to the color of the surface if necessary.Selects premixed colors, or prepares paint to match a specified color by blending and mixing the proper paints and pigments.Spray-paints ceilings, using an airless spray gun. Cleans and performs routine maintenance on spray guns.Maintains supplies and materials readily available for immediate use. Adhere to all health and safety precautions and Infection Control Practices.Wearing a respirator may be required.Must be able to distinguish colors.Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital.
