Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Health System, is seeking an Operations Administrator to provide on-site leadership on a 24-hour basis. This role acts on behalf of hospital leadership, handles crisis management, interprets policy, and ensures timely communication and coordinated operations across departments to support patient care.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSN, have a NC RN license, and bring at least five years’ experience with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
• Current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina; BLS required.
• Minimum five years of relevant work experience, with at least two years in clinical settings; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate judgment and self-sufficiency in problem solving while serving as the administrative resource for the hospital.
• Intervene in situations involving patients, visitors, staff and external customers.
• Coordinate operations and personnel to meet hospital objectives and Health System goals.
• Oversee patient care flow and allocate resources to maintain smooth operations.
• Ensure adequate space, equipment, and supplies for effective patient care.
• Communicate pertinent information to hospital administration and leadership in a timely manner.
• Coach staff in problem solving, effective communication strategies, and conflict resolution.
