Job summary
A leading academic healthcare organization in Chicago is seeking an experienced Operating Engineer to manage and maintain utility systems within its facilities. This position requires a high school diploma, relevant licenses, and at least five years of experience in operations and maintenance. Successful candidates will ensure safe and efficient system performance in a full-time onsite role in Hyde Park.
Qualifications
5 years minimum experience in facility operations or building maintenance.
Successful completion of recognized trade union apprentice program.
Ability to read and understand technical documents.
Responsibilities
Operate, maintain and repair machinery and equipment.
Adjust controls for safe and efficient operation.
Conduct repairs and maintenance on HVAC and plumbing systems.
Participate in capital projects and system start-up.
Skills
