Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5-7 years in operational/maintenance high‑pressure steam plant environment.
• Licenses: First-Class Refrigeration Engineer and First-Class Steam Operating Engineer in Shelby County.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• First Class Proficiency Contractors License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes results from testing and treatment of all mechanical and generating equipment.
• Repairs, adjusts, calibrates electrical and electronic control systems, electrical power distribution equipment, computer systems, pneumatic, hydraulic, refrigeration and steam systems.
• Diagnoses trouble calls and determines appropriate action to be taken.
• Updates procedures to reflect changes in codes and regulations.
