Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a dedicated food service associate to support patient meals, tray delivery, and dining experiences at our Utah facilities. The role involves food preparation, patient interaction, and maintaining cleanliness across service areas.

The position requires Food Handler or ServSafe certification on day one and the ability to handle high-tempo tasks with accuracy. Experience with modified diets is preferred and eligibility for benefits is noted.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work.
• One or more year of experience in customer service, food service, or patient care preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Delivers and presents trays to patients using the standard process.
• Performs food preparation functions according to system standards (e.g. salads, sandwiches, vegetables, fruit).
• Follows standardized Nutrition Services practices (dining experience, meal delivery, stock levels).
• Performs housekeeping functions including cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, floor care, and equipment.
• Performs accurate cash/credit transactions according to system standards and resolves basic customer service issues.
