Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to support daily meal service for patients and hospital guests. You will assist with serving food and minor food preparation under leadership direction and dietitian expectations, ensuring compliance with Maricopa County health regulations and the hospital's standards.

Ideal candidates have healthcare food service experience, are able to work 12-hour shifts including weekends, and can lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of healthcare or high-volume food service experience.
• Proficient with Cerner and reading census data to manage dietary guidelines.
• Collaborate with RD to assist in care plans for patients.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to obtain AZ Food Handlers Permit and ServeSafe within 30 days.
• Willing to work weekdays, weekends, holidays; day or night shifts.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve menu items per standardized recipes and service standards.
• Support hospital in food service, nutrition, stocking nourishments, and dishes.
• Follow patient diet restrictions and management.
• Maintain safe work environment and health regulation compliance.
• Keep kitchen/storage areas clean per standards and leadership.
• Complete tasks while adhering to safety policies.
• Complete training modules on time and any additional training.
