Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks hospitalists at the Instructor level to join as Administrative Scholar in a two-year Physician Executive program. Responsibilities include inpatient care at CU Hospital and teaching residents, with scholars earning an MBA through CU Denver Business School.

Participants will lead operational initiatives and gain knowledge in executive leadership, healthcare strategy, and economics.

Qualifications

• Must be an MD/DO.
• Completion of 3-year ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program (or equivalent) and Board-eligibility for the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient clinical care on hospital medicine faculty at University of Colorado Hospital.
• Lead resident and advanced practice provider teaching services.
• Pursue and complete a Master’s in Business Administration through the CU Denver Business School.
• Interpret and apply business and healthcare economics to improve profit-maximization, operations and quality.
