Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking hospitalist instructors at the 1-year intensive faculty development level. The role blends direct patient care with resident and advanced practice provider teaching, while dedicating time to advancing skills in quality improvement, patient safety, and health system change.

Work is onsite in Aurora, CO, with opportunities to develop an area of scholarly focus and to contribute to education and clinical operations across the Department

Qualifications

• Must be an MD/DO and completed a three‑year ACGME‑accredited internal medicine residency (or equivalent).
• Strong foundation in quality improvement and patient safety.
• Experience with teaching residents, advanced practice providers, and medical students.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in quality improvement methodology.
• Develop expertise in patient safety.
• Develop as an educator by taking an active teaching role in QI and patient safety curriculums.
• Build skills in hospital medicine, consult medicine, oncology, addiction medicine and leadership.
