Job summary

Townsen Memorial Hospital is seeking a Materials Technician to maintain inventory levels and process orders for hospital supplies in a fast-paced environment. You will track shipments, affix barcodes, and ensure stock accuracy across storage areas.

Responsibilities include processing incoming shipments, reconciling counts, documenting backorders, and disposing of obsolete items. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED and basic clerical experience; BLS certification within 90 days

Qualifications

• Inventory control knowledge and ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
• Clerical tasks and basic data entry using office software.
• Certification in BLS or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels across the hospital inventory system.
• Receive and process incoming shipments of material supply goods.
• Affix inventory barcodes and stock tags to equipment; prepare data for entry into the computer.
• Record prices, delivery dates, and inventory status; update backorders or delays.
• Disposes of obsolete items and ensures stock accuracy; report damages or discrepancies.
