Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network seeks a Maintenance Technician to inspect, test, maintain, install, repair and modify hospital systems, equipment and structures.

You will work with supervisors and nurses to ensure optimal patient care and a well-maintained environment. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with three years of trades experience (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry or electronics) and a state license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school certification may substitute for up to 18 months of experience.
• Three years of experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry or electronics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, tests, maintains, installs, repairs, and modifies systems, equipment and structure within the hospital.
• Monitors and coordinates work when additional craftsmen are required.
• Performs preventive maintenance and helps establish/modify routines.
• Communicates with supervisory, nursing staff and others to ensure optimal patient care and environment; maintains professional relations.
