Job summary

Avera St Anthony's Hospital is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance across the campus. The role involves mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks to keep buildings and equipment in safe, reliable condition.

The position requires hands-on maintenance, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team. On-call rotations are possible, with benefits and career development opportunities provided by Avera.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required or equivalent, with related experience.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Boiler Operator license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain facilities and assets to ensure a safe environment.
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and repair building systems including steam/chilled water delivery and air handling equipment.
• Schedule and document preventative maintenance and safety drills.
• Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely completion of work.
