Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine repair and maintenance on patient furniture, plumbing, and building systems at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday 7:00am–3:30pm, with travel between campus locations as needed.

You will document work, inspect facilities, repair non-clinical electronic components, perform light plumbing, and maintain tools and logs.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Certification: A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location.
Experience: Minimum one year of previous facilities/engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Performs routine repair and maintenance on patient furniture, plumbing, fixtures; documents work per Hospital standards.
Inspects building and reports repairs needed; notifies Supervisor of discrepancies.
Documents results of preventative maintenance in logs and alerts supervisor.
Repairs and maintains non-clinical electronic components (TV remotes, nurse call, med-gas).
Performs routine plumbing work and repairs fixtures such as faucets, sinks, drains.
Performs minor building repairs including lighting, tiles, and patching walls.
Maintains tools and work area; logs activities and time spent.
Responds to code calls as appropriate.
