Job summary

Intermountain Health's Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah is seeking a Maintenance Worker III – General to perform a broad range of routine to complex maintenance tasks in a healthcare setting.

This full-time role requires autonomous work, strong safety practices, and the ability to lead teams on challenging projects; carpentry skills preferred; schedule Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm with some nights/weekends, no on-call, 40 hours weekly, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a maintenance generalist/handyman.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex maintenance tasks (bulbs, faucets, walls, floors).
• Replace plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, doors, and windows.
• Assist with or lead installation, repair, and maintenance of hospital systems.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues.
• Communicate with all parties involved in maintenance operations.
• Ensure infection control, patient privacy, and safety in work prep and execution.
