Job summary

River Oaks Hospital in New Orleans, LA is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Tech to join our team. Under the Director of Plant Operations, you will install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical and plumbing systems throughout the hospital.

You will complete preventive and corrective work orders, ensure proper operation of equipment, assist with regulatory documentation for JCAHO and local agencies, and maintain facilities appearance including interiors and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three years of related experience; hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes all preventive, corrective, work orders as assigned.
• Assures the proper operation of all hospital equipment.
• Assists Director in compilation of all documentation for JCAHO and all state, city, and local regulatory agencies.
• Maintains facilities appearance – interior, exterior, and grounds.
• Takes care of all repairs and tasks in a timely manner.
• Participates in all codes related to the facility, planned or emergency.
• Rotates "On - Call" with other departmen staff.
• Set up rooms for activities or classes by moving tables, chairs and equipment to support daily activities and special events.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
