Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support Plant Operations and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and clear communication to minimize downtime and keep hospital systems running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 2+ years in general maintenance; vocational training or CFC/Operator Engineer certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Prefer vocational trade school or apprenticeship education.
• CFC certification and/or Operator Engineer Certificate helpful.
• 2+ years' general maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and therapeutic environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance programs for facility equipment.
• Perform routine repairs of plumbing, HVAC, walls, fire/smoke walls, doors, flooring, ceilings, electrical, medical gas, and other hospital systems.
• Complete computer-generated preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain daily logs of work orders and manage assignments to meet customer needs.
• Communicate material, supplies, or downtime needs to management.
