Position Purpose:
The Hospital Leader On Duty provides excellent veterinary care to our full-service hospital patients and phenomenal customer care to their owners. The Hospital Leader On Duty represents the mission and values of Petco to all pets and pet parents. Our Hospital Leader On Duty sets the tone with the technical and customer support partners in the hospital and is responsible, like all partners, for fostering cohesion and motivation within the team.
Essential Job Functions: The Hospital Leader on Duty must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nature of Supervision: The incumbent will take direct supervision from the Area Operations Manager in all activities related to patient care and handling.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has immediate daily supervisory duties over paraprofessional partners.
Education/Experience:
Work Environment: Most duties are performed in the veterinary hospital. The role involves bending, kneeling, lifting up to 30 pounds, and standing for long periods. Significant time will be spent in direct contact with clients and pets.
Contacts: Regular communication with clients, service teams, and management in Vetco Total Care Hospitals and Pet Care Centers.
