Job summary

Fairview Park Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Hospital Laboratory Director to lead all lab operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive service quality. You will manage staffing, budgets and performance, partnering with leadership to advance laboratory services within the HCA Healthcare network.

The ideal candidate holds a Medical Technology degree, national certification, and several years of supervisory experience in a hospital laboratory, with a preference for a Master’s degree.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology or Chemistry.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• National Certification as a Medical Technologist required.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Hospital clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccination per local/state/federal requirements or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Directs operations, programs and activities to meet regulatory requirements and drive innovation.
• Ensures staffing is adequate and qualified through hiring, orientation and training.
• Develops staff through coaching and regular feedback.
• Sets department strategies to meet service, quality and financial goals.
• Oversees financial operation by monitoring resource use and variances.
• Ensures compliance with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, FDA and CMS standards.
