Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Lab Tech 2 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco, TX. The position covers day shifts (4:00 AM–2:30 PM) with rotating weekends (4 days x 10 hours) and requires the ability to perform phlebotomy if needed.

A minimum of a high school diploma and hospital lab experience is preferred. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of hospital lab experience and can perform routine laboratory procedures, specimen processing, labeling, and data entry.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Prefer at least 3 years in hospital lab.
• Must have hospital lab experience and be capable of phlebotomy if needed.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and perform clerical checks.
• Sort, label, and record patient specimens.
• Operate centrifuge and other lab equipment.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Communicate effectively with lab personnel and other departments.
• Participate in laboratory projects and educational activities.
