Job summary

Wayne UNC Health Care is hiring for a full-time Utility Worker to maintain a clean and safe kitchen area, stock supplies, and assist with receiving and unloading merchandise. You will help manage pot room cleanliness, equipment sanitation and inventory control.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, and six months of similar experience is preferred. Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays is necessary.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and grow in a health-care food service environment.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a customer focus while performing duties.
• Maintains cleanliness of pots, pans, tables, walls, refrigerators and equipment using cleaning chemicals.
• Keeps pot room clean and reports any problems to kitchen manager.
• Monitors pot room water temperature and chemical levels for sanitary wash cycles.
• Washes and stores all tableware and kitchenware.
