Job summary

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 1 for Kalamazoo (3rd shift). This role supports Bronson Methodist Hospital's Food & Nutrition team with food assembly, meal delivery to patients, light cleaning, and operating patient meal systems, 36 hours weekly.

Required: basic food safety knowledge, ability to follow written and verbal directions, and basic math. Preferred: strong customer service, organization, and independent thinking.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to follow basic verbal and written directions and basic math.
• Read and understand English; communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assembly and service of foods and supplies to customers and patients.
• Delivery of meals and supplies to patients.
• Light cleaning and kitchen clean-up as assigned.
• Operate cash register and patient meal ordering systems.
• Stocking, labeling, dating and rotating products.
• Provide outstanding customer service consistent with our mission and standards.
• Prepare and portion hot and cold items according to recipes and procedures.
• Handle food preparation tasks including washing, cutting, and mixing ingredients.
• Operate kitchen appliances and utensils; perform other duties as assigned.
