Job summary

Central Regional Hospital in Butner, NC is recruiting Food Service Assistants to support Nutrition Services. These roles will be cross trained to prepare and serve meals across stations, check patient trays for accuracy and portions, and deliver to units/dining rooms. The position emphasizes sanitation and proper handling of utensils.

Shifts are 8 hours from 10:15 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. with alternating weekends and holidays; full-time status includes the state's benefits package with health

Qualifications

• Experience serving and/or preparing food in a commercial or institutional kitchen.
• Position designated as mandatory; may require reporting during adverse weather.
• Multiple positions available and will be recruited for all noted openings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and snacks and deliver to units, wards, or dining rooms.
• Check patient trays for correct items, portions, and dietary preferences.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area and sanitation of pots, pans, and utensils.
